Museum Education Project

This project is generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund until October 2007.  Its purpose is to extend the museum education opportunities which have been provided by the Museum Education Service for many years.  The project therefore works mainly with family learning, lifelong learning and various forms of museum outreach.  The Museum Education Project, like the Museum Education Service, is a partnership between Carisbrooke Castle Museum and the Isle of Wight Council's Heritage Service

At present we offer:

- Schools (school sessions, activities for after school clubs/curriculum enhancement)
- Family Learning sessions for parents and children (family fun insert)
- Sessions for parents, to help them support their children's learning (Sessions for parents inserts)
- Lectures for adult groups (HLF lectures)

- Museum study days at Carisbrooke Castle Museum: View items not normally on display, and lsiten to talks from the experts.

Please ring Joy or Chris on 01983 523112 for more details and to book sessions.
